PURPOSE:To avoid closing a circulating passage to circulate air for a long period of time, and maintain a stable deodorizing effect by a method wherein the temperature in the refrigerator is detected, and a damper opening/closing device is periodically put under an opened condition by a timer in a control device. CONSTITUTION:A control means in a control device 36 inputs a signal from a detecting means 35 which detects the temperature in a refrigerating chamber 23, and if the temperature in the refrigerating chamber is at a determined temperature or lower, and a signals from a first timer is longer than a previously determined period of time, the control means outputs a signal to put the damper opening/closing device 34 under an opened condition, to a first driving means, and the first driving means puts the damper opening/closing device 34 under an opened condition. By the blowing operation of a fan 28, the air in the refrigerator is circulated through a condenser chamber 27, feeding duct 31, damper opening/closing device 34, refrigerating chamber and return duct 32. At this time, the air containing an odorous component which passes through the condenser chamber 27 comes into contact with a deodorizing heater 33, and the odorous component is removed by being adsorbed by a catalyst coated layer 33a. |
