DEFLECTING CIRCUIT FOR TV RECEIVER HAVING SYMMETRICAL DEFLECTION, DEFLECTION DEVICE FOR PICTURE TUBE AND NEUTRAL-ZONE DETECTING METHOD FOR PICTURE TUBE

PURPOSE: To obtain a desired deflection field without increasing the number of circuits or the cost by providing a vertical auxiliary deflection coil other than the vertical deflection coil and whose inductance is considerably smaller than that of the vertical deflection coil. CONSTITUTION: A vertical deflection signal generator 11 generates a sawtooth control signal and a vertical deflection coil 13 is controlled by the sawtooth signal for a period for a half image. On the other hand, an auxiliary voltage IVK1 with a line frequency is fed to an additional vertical auxiliary deflection coil 14 via an adder stage 17 and a broad band amplifier 15 and the coil 14 produces other deflection field on a picture tube in addition to a sawtooth deflection field FV by the vertical deflection coil 13. Then the lapse of a stepwise characteristic of a deflection field is obtained as a whole. The vertical deflection coil 13 has an inductance of, e.g. 20mH, but the auxiliary vertical deflection coil 14 has an inductance of only severalμH.
