PURPOSE:To provide a contact roll in which the deflection of the roll is minimized because of its light weight and high rigidity, the following property of the roll to a work is satisfactory, no wrinkling is caused on a wound paper or film because of its uniform contact pressure over the whole width of the roll surface, and no air is embraced. CONSTITUTION:A contact roll has a first carbon fiber composite material layer 1, a first rubber layer 2, a second carbon fiber composite material layer 3, and a second rubber layer 4 which are laminated into a cylinder successively in the order from the inner layer. |
