PURPOSE:To improve an operating efficiency by immediately starting a vehicle when a traveling direction is instructed. CONSTITUTION:When a forward/reverse lever 1 is switched to a forward or reverse position, any of forward and reverse switches 2, 3 is closed, and its ON signal is output as a forward or reverse designation signal to an MPU 6. The MPU 6 closes any of forward and reverse contactors 14, 14 based on the signal, and decides a traveling direction of a vehicle. The MPU 6 judges, when inputting the forward or reverse designation signal based on the operation of the lever 1, that an accelerator pedal is OFF, i.e., the pedal is not depressed based on a detection signal from an accelerator switch 7, and controls to so rotate a traveling motor 9 as to travel the vehicle at a predetermined slow speed (substantially 1km/hr). |
