摘要 PURPOSE: To eliminate an effect of non-linearity from the adaptive control and to make accurate adaptive convergence possible by generating a pressure error instead of a shift time error through using an empirically obtained table for the shift time versus the control pressure. CONSTITUTION: A desired shifting time DST generated in a block 220, a measured shifting time MST, and a desired speed ratio Rdes are input to a block 222. Corresponding line pressure values Pmst, Pdst are determined based on the empirically derived relation between the measured shifting time MST for each target speed ratio and the line pressure of the transmission. The pressure difference (Pmst-Pdst) generates a pressure error output PE. The pressure difference output from the block 222 is applied to a characterizing portion 230 of the control device. This portion of the control device generates a high- pressure correction value and a low-pressure correction value PChi, PClo based on the pressure error output PE. These correction values define a two-point table for correcting the pressure as a function of shifting torque STQ.
