PURPOSE:To enhance a mounter in operating efficiency by a method wherein a taping part is lessened in volume so as to increase a feed cassette in number of parts housed in it. CONSTITUTION:A soft metal solder 13 is used to connect resistor chips 11 of a tape-like surface mounting electronic device 14 together, a recess 15 is provided between the connected resistor chips 11, so that the tape-like surface mounting electronic device 14 is small in volume in a widthwise direction, and consequently parts mounted on a mounter at a time can be remarkably increased in number. The tape-like surface mounting electronic device 14 is concentrically rolled into a roll and housed in an electronic part feed cassette 16, and the electronic part feed cassette 16 is provided with a part contact preventing spiral groove, so that the resistor chips 11 are protected against breakdown caused by the contact of the chips 11 with each other. As a conventional top tape can be dispensed with, the electronic part feed cassette 16 itself can be simplified in structure. |
