PURPOSE: To measure bacteriodes microorganism by directly binding the substance under test containing a bacteroides antigen on a solid supporter, bringing the antigen to the antibody opposing the antigen, forming immunological complex on the supporter and measuring the bacteroides microorganism. CONSTITUTION: Bacteroides antigen is extracted from the cells in a biological substance under test by a suitable method and brought into contact with a solid supporter such as polymer and glass, which can be bound quickly. At the same time, the antigen is directly bound to the supporter. The bound antigen is brought into contact with the antibody opposing the antigen within about 10 minutes of the contact, and the immunological complex is formed on the supporter. When the antibody, wherein, e.g. peroxidase or the like is a label, the coloring matter can be detected. After the formation of the complex, incubation is performed within about 5 minutes in general at room temperature. Thereafter, the coloring-matter forming composite material is added, and the formed coloring matter is visually detected. Thus, the antigen extracted from the bacteroides microorganism can be quickly detected.
