PURPOSE:To provide the sentence generating device which inputs a data struc ture for showing a process of an inference, and can generate appropriately a sentence in which information which a user necessitates is included without excess and shortage, in accordance with setting. CONSTITUTION:To an inference device 1, a generated contents selecting part 6 for selecting the contents included in a sentence from a data structure for showing an inference process, and a surface layer sentence generating part 7 for generating a surface layer sentence are connected in series. To the generated contents selecting part 6, a known knowledge holding part 8 for holding knowledge decided that a user knows already, a knowledge difficulty degree holding part 9 for allowing the knowledge and its degree of difficulty to correspond to each other, an erudition degree holding part 10 for setting and holding an index of a degree of knowledge of the user, and an explanation details degree holding part 11 for setting and holding details of an explanation are connected. The generated contents selecting part 6 selects appropriately the generated contents, by which a sentence including necessary and sufficient information to the user is generated. |
