摘要 PURPOSE:To stably take out high temperature steam of 150-170 deg.C without affecting a fuel cell body, and supply it to the outside by providing a heater using the same fuel as the main body upstream of a steam separator provided in a cooling water system for cooling the cell body. CONSTITUTION:Upstream of a steam separator 2 of a cell cooling water system, a gas burning heater 4 is arranged. At the time of a fixed electric output (less than about 75% output), two-phase flow steam of a cell cooling water is further heated by the heater 4 using the same fuel as a fuel cell body 1 to stably generate a high temperature (150-170 deg.C) steam from the separator 2. Since the gas burning heater 4 is more efficient than an electric heater, the temperature raising time of the cell cooling water can be shortened, less fuel can be used, and the cost can be reduced. Since no high temperature steam is generated at a low electric output (about 50% output or less), the high temperature (150-170 deg.C) steam can be stably supplied to the outside even in the case of a low power output (less than about 75% output) and even when heat generation quantity of the cell is changed by fluctuation of load.
