<p>PURPOSE:To realize efficient communication by using a timer so as to detect a call not used for a long period, interrupting the call from the network and allocating a band having been allocated to the call not in use to other call. CONSTITUTION:Information from a terminal equipment is exchanged by a SW section 12 via an IF section 11 and connects to other terminal equipment via a SW section 12 of other exchange. In this case, upon the receipt of a cell of virtual channels (VC) 1-n, a timer 14 corresponding to the cell starts counting and when the time count reaches m-sec, a prediction cell occurrence request is outputted. An interruption prediction cell generating section 3 on the request sends an interruption prediction cell 15 to a relevant terminal equipment 3 via the SW section 12 to predict the interruption of call to each terminal equipment. When the time count of the timer 14 reaches n-sec from the m-sec, the SW section 13 interrupts a relevant call existing in the VC1-n. Thus, a band having been allocated to a call not using the exchange is allocated to other call and efficient communication is attained.</p> |
