PURPOSE:To obtain an electric double layer capacitor wherein internal resistance is not increased, the impregnation of electrolyte is also smoothly conducted, its, productivity can be improved, and mechanical strength to the compressive force in the thickness direction of a pair of polarizable electrodes can be sufficiently ensured. CONSTITUTION:Fluororesin compounded in a thread type in a pair of polarizable electrodes 11a, 11b, which are constituted by compounding the fluororesin in a thread type as the binder for fixing mixed activated carbon and carbon black, is arranged nearly parallel to the up and clown direction of a lid 13 made of metal and a case 14 made of metal which constitute an up and down pair of metal cases. By applying torsion to the fluororesin compounded in a thread type, the fluororesin compouned in a thread type is made to have mutual linkage. |
