PURPOSE: To manufacture a free wheel in a few processes by adopting such a cage structure that is connected by a shape-connection that allows disassembling from a partially closed side of a sleeve board. CONSTITUTION: A free wheel 1 comprises a sleeve 2 that completely opens at one side and satisfactorily opens at the opposite side. A cage 5 guiding tightening needles 3 is inserted into the sleeve 2. In the cage 5, boards 9, 10 are arranged at both ends of the needle 3. The cage 5 comprises an axial security device having a shape of a snap engagement portion 7, and is connected to the sleeve 2 via the snap engagement portion 7. The snap engagement portion 7 comprises a preloading member 8 horizontally extending from the board 9. The preloading member 8 comprises a radially outward extending projection 11 at its end. The projection 11 is guided by a notch 12 attached to the board 13 of the sleeve 2 in the assembled state. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture the free wheel 1 in a few processes. This is advantageous from the viewpoint of a manufacturing cost. Further, overhaul of the free wheel can be carried out without hindrance. |
