Appts. has: (a) a tubular body (12) with exit port (16) attached to suction side of a pump and a skimming orifice (13), attached to the wall (14) of the pool at surface level, and (b) compartments (17,19,20), one above the other in the vertical section. The upper compartment (17) contains a prefilter (18) attached to the orifice (13), with access cover (26). Intermediate compartment (19) contains filtration unit (24). Lower compartment (20) has exit port at base. A non-return connection between the lower compartment (20) and the intermediate compartment (19) allows passage of water from intermediate compartment (19) to lower compartment (20) but prevents flow in opposing direction. ADVANTAGE - Cleaning operation is simplified.
