The unit has a throttle flap (3), which is formed as a stamped bent component. It has formed oval sections (7), e.g. beads etc, on one or both sides of the throttle flap shaft (2), to increase stiffness. The sections are formed by raised beads in one direction of the throttle channel (6), and by bead grooves in the opposite direction. The throttle flap consists of two parts. The beads are positioned non/symmetrically on these. The flap has a central raised part, which partly engages around the flap shaft. USE/ADVANTAGE - Bending of throttle flap is avoided or at least made more difficult, gives increased stability, prevents jamming of throttle flap.
