The appts. includes a processing station in which the objects to be processed are exposed to a processing fluid. A transport equipment comprises multiple roller pairs (6), whose partners are arranged above and below the path of the objects to be processed. The roller pairs at the edge (6') are axially aligned and seize the edges of the objects to be processed. Inner roller pairs (6'') are arranged at definite axial distances between the edge roller pairs. The inner roller pairs on adjacent axes (3) are staggered w.r.t. each other. The partners are driven and seize the objects from above and below between the side edges. ADVANTAGE - Can convey objects even with relatively greater width without danger of folding over or throwing open.
