Car inner fitting with foil coating - has edge of foil held at fitting rear by clamping

The cover foil (1) edge (1') covers also the fitting (2) edge (2") and is secured at the fitting rear side by clamping. Pref. the fitting has a machined clamping edge (2a). In the mfr. the foil is drawn into the region between the clamping edge and fitting by pressurised air jet. In the mfr. the fitting is held in a lower mould (3) and a top mould (4), facing the fitting rear side. At the top mould is a guide rib (5), matching the clamping edge, for guiding the air jet. ADVANTAGE - No soiling by an adhesive.
