<p>A porous membrane (15) is mounted on a flat plate (10) with peripheral hold-down strips (17) secured at spaced points to the plate and a foam tape (21) having adhesive on both surfaces (20) is interposed between the plate (10) and the membrane (15) and between the membrane (15) and the peripheral hold-down strips (17) to retain the membrane in place and assure a good seal with the support plate. In addition, middle hold-down strips (25) are provided to prevent billowing of the membrane and, at each end, the middle hold-down strips (25) extend above the peripheral hold-down strips (17) to assure air distribution beneath the membrane (15).</p> |
