A magnetic diskette casing, that on the inner of the casing has a coating to clean the magnetic disk is claimed. The coating contains 0.01-1g per kg of coating material, of a modified straight chain polydimethyl siloxane (I), that contains at least one gp. chosen from hydroxyl, amino, mercapto, carboxyl, x-methylstyrene, x-olefins, fluorine, alkyl, higher fatty acids, methacrylic, polyether and epoxy gps. in each molecule with a viscosity of 50-3000 mm2/s at 25 deg.C. USE/ADVANTAGE - The coating cleans and removes dust particles from the magnetic disk. (I) has a reduced rate of loss from the coating thereby stabilising the dynamic fiction of the magnetic disk and has an improved efficiency for dust uptake.
