摘要 The lever mechanism is operated via the rotor of an electric motor having two controlled drive windings (10,11), the current through which provides a high initial drive torque at either end position of the lever mechanism, to overcome the permanent magnet retaining force holding it in the end position against a mechanical stop. Permanent magnets attached to the rotor or stator (8) of the electric motor provide a positive or negative drive torque over approximately half the pivot range. Pref. the two drive windings (10,11) are angularly offset by a relatively small angle, one winding providing a higher drive torque than the other. USE/ADVANTAGE - In space vehicle and for waveguide switch. For pivoting mirror through angle of 90 degrees between two stable end positions, with high accuracy.
