The oven has a front-loading muffle with guides (8) at the side for a sliding door assembly (4). The guides on the muffle and horizontal door assembly rails have rollers (12). The door rails are of L-shaped section whereas the guides are of C-shaped section. Each door rail has an extra pivoted rail at the end. These end rails fold around the curved back of the oven and carry rollers. As the door assembly is slid back, they open out towards the guides at the side, finally snapping into them, so that in the fully open door position, the rails at each side form a straight line. ADVANTAGE - Simply-constructed door which is stable and easily opened.
