<p>A two-stroke internal combustion engine cylinder feeding device and method, wherein said cylinder comprises a fresh gas feed duct acting as a seat for counter-scavenging by the exhaust gas. Penetration of counter-scavenging exhaust gas into the feed duct (40) is restricted to a portion thereof which is defined by the related port (41), and by a buffer volume (42) of fresh gas forming a pressure reserve in constant communication with said duct and in interruptible communication with the pump housing (14), whereby the infeed of fresh gas into the cylinder (13) through said duct is subsequently delayed then extended substantially until the exhaust port (17) closes, by means of the above-mentioned pressure reserve.</p> |
