The converter comprises a coupling transformer (10) and rectifier means (16) and is regulated by means of inductor means (22) in series with the secondary winding(s) (14) of the coupling transformer (10) under the control of a voltage reference circuit (30). The inductor means (22) is controlled in such manner that when output is above the desired value the inductor means (22) forms a lossless attenuator of voltage delivered to the rectifier means (16). The same components also act in the same way to provide protection against overload and short circuit. |
