The slidable rope hook (3) has a movable, shaped, closing tongue (14), actuated by holding bracket (16, 18) under spring force (19). The closing is actuated, or secured by a safety pin (17). After closing, it forms a loop (13) with the pull rope (1) to convey a load. The hook tongue is held by the bracket, without the safety pin, on tensioning the pull rope, and is automatically opened by the tension relief of the pull rope.
