A device for fitting a heated member (8) to a hollow body (1) comprising at least one cold fluid inlet duct (2) and at least one fluid outlet duct (3b), said hollow body (1) being made of a thermoplastic material which is unable to withstand the heat of the heated member (8). The device comprises an insertion sleeve (9) integral with the hollow body (1) and designed to surround said heated member (8) in a contactless fashion, a guiding and supporting assembly (10) preventing the heated member (8) from touching the insertion sleeve (9), and holding it within the same, a sealing assembly (11) between the outer peripheral surface of the heated member (8) and the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve (9), and an assembly for circulating at least part of the fluid inflow in the hollow body (1) through the space (14) between said sleeve (9) and said heated member (8). Said device is particularly suitable for fitting an internal combustion engine exhaust gas recycling pipe to an engine air intake manifold made of a thermoplastic material. |
