A tripod constant velocity ratio universal joint comprises an outer joint member having three axially extending internal recesses (31), each having opposed tracks (33, 34) of part-cylindrical configuration and an inner joint member having three radial arms extending into the recesses of the outer joint member, and respective roller assemblies (32) carried by the arms and each comprising a roller element (46) with a part- spherical running face (50) and a roller carrier (39) which is supported on the corresponding arm and is pivotable thereon and movable lengthwise thereof, each roller element being provided radially inwardly of and adjacent its running face with an annular shoulder face (54) cooperable with guide shoulder faces (37, 38) adjacent the tracks in the outer joint member, to provide guiding support for the roller assembly.
