PURPOSE:A cold- and heat-resistant plasticizer for butadiene based rubber, consisting of an ester derived from a specific glycol component and specific fatty acid component and not only capable of improving the cold resistance but also characterized by heat resistance, particularly low volatility. CONSTITUTION:A plasticizer consisting of one or more selected from (A) a diester prepared by reacting (A1) a 2-6C alkylene glycol and/or polyoxyalkylene glycol having 200-5,000mol.wt. with (A2) a 14-22C unsaturated fatty acid, e.g. myristoleic acid, etc., and/or 2-24C saturated fatty acid, e.g. acetic acid, butyric acid, etc., (B) a polyester obtained by reacting the components (A1) and (A2) with a 2-10C dicarboxylic acid, e.g. oxalic acid, etc., and/or polymer acid and (C) a polyester prepared by reacting the components (A1) and (A2) with a 2-10C dicarboxylic acid and/or polymer acid and 6-22C higher alcohol. The above-mentioned plasticizer in an amount of 5-60pts.wt., preferably 10-40 pts.wt. is blended with 100pts.wt. butadiene based rubber. |
