PURPOSE:To enable raster distortion to be effectively compensated without causing any distortion of the beam spot by installing a pair of magnetic pieces in a position corresponding to the front end of the effective magnetic field of the deflecting magnetic field produced by the deflection york. CONSTITUTION:A pair of magnetic pieces 16 and 17 are horizontally symmetrically stuck with an adhesive to the lower inner surface of the horizontally deflecting coil 12 of a deflection york 11. The deflection york 11 is attached to the neck of a bulb in such a manner as to cause the magnetic pieces 16 and 17 to face electron beams projected upon the lower ends of a screen 6 as well as the front end of the effective magnetic field of the deflecting magnetic field produced by the deflection york 11. As a result, the right and the left sides of a raster 8 is corrected upward and the central area of the raster 8 is corrected downward. Consequently, the corrected raster 9 has almost a rectangular shape as indicated buy a broken line. |
