<p>A cutter block 1 has a roller body 2 comprising a tubular outer part 9 and an inner part 8 with flanges 3, 4 at either end and a tool unit 7 carrying a tool 44. The parts 8, 9 are not of circular shape, to minimise the weight of the device, and to allow the tool 44 to sweep a circumference slightly larger than the outer circumference 24 of the body 2. The inner part includes a clamping includes a clamping body 28, a supporting body 35 and a balancing counter weight 29 for the tool unit 7. The device provides a cutter block with a high strength and a low moment of inertia to allow improved acceleration and deceleration times.
