The automatic mechanically actuated clutch is a combination of a centrifugal clutch and device for creating additional pressure force ([illegible] F p) on the clutch jaws (8, 9). This device consists of a cam (2), firmly fixed to the input shaft (1), under which a catch cam (3) is pivoted on the input shaft (1) and on its pins (6, 7) there are pivoted clutch jaws (8, 9). On them, above in the centre, there are support buttresses (10, 11). The interaction of a suitably selected shape for the cam (2) with two support buttresses (10, 11) leads to optimum pressure forces on both clutch jaws (8, 9).<IMAGE>
