<p>The cooling system uses a liquid coolant that is allowed to boil, and has a heat exchanger (10) with an expansion chamber coupled to the engine (M). The fan driven by an electric motor (28) forces air through the heat exchanger. A liquid-level detector (34) is placed at a set height (Ho) in the expansion chamber (14) at the side of the heat exchanger (10). The liquid-level detector starts the electric motor driving the cooling fan when the liquid in the expansion chamber reaches the detector.</p> |
