This system comprises an element for protection against overcurrents (BO), of the fusible smoke-generator type (FU), which is a short circuit between the vehicle earth (MV) and the system earth (MS) in normal operation, and which self-destructs when the starter (DEM) is connected to the battery after shunting the anti-theft contactor (CTA). A fibre optic transmission means (FO) cuts off the fuel supply to the engine via a solenoid valve (EV), when the system is in service, contact (CO1) of the system to earth. Moreover, if the driver is attacked in his vehicle, the latter presses a particular button (TA) which triggers stopping of the engine after a time (DU3) as well as excitation of an audible alarm (AV) for a duration (DU4); the thief who has made off with the vehicle will be obliged to abandon it. <IMAGE> |
