摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To almost completely remove the pollutants in exhaust gas by lowering the temperature of the exhaust gas after the separation of mists therefrom by a cyclone and injecting cooling water, thereby adsorbing and separating the pollutants. CONSTITUTION: In a first processing apparatus section 100, the mists are separated by the cyclone 1 of a first stage and the gas is heat exchanged with the cooling water from a cooling column 7 of a second stage, by which the temperature of the first stage gas is lowered and the pollutants are adsorbed in the generated condensate. Next, when the cooling water of a water collecting tank 20 of a second processing apparatus section 200 is injected into a direct heat exchange type cooler 4, the water-soluble pollutants of the second stage gas are adsorbed and the temperature is lowered in a third stage. In a fourth stage, the liquid- component in the third stage gas is separated by a gas-liquid separator 5 and is sent to a primary neutralization processing tank 21. In a fifth stage, the fourth stage gas and the cooling water in the tank 20 are mixed in a tank 21 and after the pollutants are adsorbed in the cooling water, the mixture is subjected to the separation of the liquid from the gas. The pollutants are thereafter recovered into a tank 29 where the gas is subjected to the neutralization processing. The ninth stage gas is almost completely removed of the pollutants by repeating the stages described above. The gas is then released into the atmosphere.</p>
