摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a casing assembly that minimizes circumferential thermal distortion of a compressor easing. CONSTITUTION: A compressor easing includes an annular outer casing 20 having at least one outlet duct 36, an annular inner casing 14 disposed co-axially with the outer casing and spaced radially inwardly from the outer easing to define a plenum 19, radial disks 21, 22 extending inwardly from the outer casing to define a plenum 24, a plurality of small area bleed openings 28 located in the inner casing for imparting a radial velocity to the bleed air bigger than circumferential velocity entering the plenum 24, an air tube 32 arranged over each bleed opening, and a baffle 34 located on top of the air tube and connected to the disks 21, 22 for supporting the casing 14, 20. The bleed air impinges on the outer easing and controls distortion by sufficiently reducing the circumferential temperature gradient generated in the outer casing.
