DEVICE FOR SEPARATION OF SUBSTANCE FROM MIXED LIQUID BY CRYSTALLIZATION

PURPOSE: To provide a device which continuously and efficiently makes a substance to be crystallized from a liquid mixture. CONSTITUTION: Crystallization is performed on an endless band 12 moving to the direction of an arrow 65. An upper part 17 of the band 12 is cooled or heated by a fluid flowing from nozzles 43 and 59. A feeding part 21 supplies a liquid mixture. The mixture runs downwardly along a crystallizing surface 11 to form a crystal layer thereon. The crystal layer is moved upwardly in counter-current. The remaining liquid, what is called a mother liquor, which is almost free from any crystallizable substance, flows downwardly. A device 24 for changing an inclination angleαof the crystallizing surface permits the crystallizing device to be adjusted in a simple way in accordance with the requirement of the crystallization process.
