<p>PURPOSE:To obtain tiles having unique pattern where chamotts are dispersed on the surface by admixing chamotts to the secondary particles resulting from granulation of finely ground rough stones and clay and adjusting the moisture content to form the body. CONSTITUTION:Rough stones such as feldspar or porcelain and clay are pulverized into primary particles of 10 to 30mum size. The primary particles are combined with water into secondary granules of 100 to 500mum particle sizes. Then, roughly round shamotts are admixed to the granules and the moisture is adjusted to form a body. The body is shaped, dried, and fired to give the tiles having chamotts dispersed on the surface.</p> |
