摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the hardness and high temperature stability of the diamond-based sintered product to exhibit excellent abrasion resistance especially when used as a cutting tool. CONSTITUTION:The diamond-based sintered product has a composition comprising (A<1>) 1-20%vol.% of one kind or more of MgCO3, CaCO3, SrCO3, and BaCO3, and solid solutions comprising two kinds or more of the compounds, and (A<2>) 1-30vol.% of one kind or more of TiC, ZrC, HfC, VC, TaC, NbC, WC, Cr3C2, Mo2C, and SiC and solid solutions comprising two kinds or more of the compounds as dispersion phase-forming components, and (B) the remaining amount of diamond whose particles are substantially bound with each other by the action of the above-mentioned metal carbonate to form a base material when sintered.
