PURPOSE: To obtain a fluoran color former having excellent sublimation resistance and migration resistance by incorporating at least one type of color former made of a fluoran compound represented by a specific general formula. CONSTITUTION: A pressure sensitive or heat sensitive recording material comprises at least one type of a color former made of a fluoran compound represented by a general formula separately described, wherein R1 is a hydrogen or 1-4C alkyl, R2 and R3 are independently each is a hydrogen or 1-8C alkyl or the like, R4 is a hydrogen or 1-4C alkyl, R5 is a nitro, SO2 R7 or the like, R6 is a halogen, a nitro or 1-4C alkyl or the like. Thus, a sublimation resistance and a migration resistance of the color former can be improved. |
