<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate an unnecessary viscous feeling in steering, improve convergence performance and returning characteristic, and obtain a high responsive steering feeling, ensuring the reduction of cost. CONSTITUTION:A standard assisting torque calculating means 51 prepares the standard assisting torque on the basis of the output of a steering torque sensor 21, and a torque differential calculating means 52 calculates the torque differential value. A steering state judging means 41 judges if a steering system is steered or the case is in automatic drive, on the basis of the torque differential and the motor revolution speed, and an assisting torque calculating means 42 corrects the standard assisting torque according to the steering state judged by the steering state judging means 41, and the corrected assisting torque is outputted to a driving means 54, and a motor 6 is driven. Accordingly, the optimum assisting control corresponding to each state in the steering of the steering system or automatic drive, is carried out, and the responsive feeling in steering, returning characteristic of a steering wheel in automatic drive, and the convergence performance can be improved.</p> |
