The invention provides a transmission joint body (22) of the type comprising an envelope (24) inside which are paths (races) (28) for supporting articulation components (20) of a transmission joint (10) and a connecting system for the joint body of the type comprising a radial flange (30) connected to the envelope, the joint body being characterised in that the flange (30) is made at least partly of a material consisting of a thermosetting or thermoplastic matrix reinforced with short fibres or particles. In one preferred embodiment, the internal space bounded radially by the inner peripheral surface of the envelope (24) of the joint body (22) is partly filled by a material (26) consisting of a thermosetting or thermoplastic matrix reinforced with short fibres or with particles and which extends outside the envelope through an axial extremity of the latter to form the flange (30).
