PURPOSE: To provide a system that is simple in structure, has good durability, is low cost and has good maintenance by correctly controlling flow quantity of exhaust gas for an engine EGR system. CONSTITUTION: A gas recirculation valve 34 that is operated by signals of a control unit 38 through a vacuum regulator 36. The flow quantity of the recirculated exhaust gas to the engine through the valve 34 is detected by a venturi assembly 40, and is supplied through a converter 42 to a control unit as electronic signals. The venturi assembly 40 has pressure taps on both sides, and is constituted to have a frusto-conical entrance and a cylindrical throat. |
