PURPOSE:To provide the carbon fiber-reinforced carbon composite material excellent in oxidation resistance. CONSTITUTION:The coating layer of at least one kind of a high melting point metal selected from a group consisting of B, Cr. Hf, Ir, Mo, Nb, Pt, Ta, Ti, V, W and Zr is disposed on the surface of a carbon fiber-reinforced carbon composite material, and further the coating layer of silicon carbide or silicon nitride is disposed thereon to provide the carbon fiber-reinforced carbon composite material excellent in the oxidation resistance. The coating layer of at least one kind of a glassy substance selected from among the oxides of silicon, boron, aluminum, sodium, lithium and titanium is further preferably disposed. |
