CONSISTENT PRODUCTION OF EPOXIDE

Epoxides are produced by an integrated process involving air oxidation of an aryl-substituted secondary alcohol to form a ketone and hydrogen peroxide, epoxidation of an olefin by the secondary alcohol oxidation product in the presence of a titanium silicalite catalyst, and regeneration of the secondary alcohol by hydrogenation of the ketone.
