PURPOSE:To provide a rear spoiler device for a vehicle which does not obstruct the rearward viewfield even at an erection position and drastically improves the traveling stability during high speed traveling, particularly at the time of sharp steering. CONSTITUTION:The left and right fins 11 in pair are installed on the upper surface of a trunk lid 2 at the rear part of a car body, so that the upward erection turn is enabled. When each of the steering angle and the steering angular speed of a vehicle is over each set value, the sharp steering mode is set, and in this sharp steering mode, if the variation rate of the lateral G of the car body in a certain time interval becomes over a set value, it is judged if the corrected steering where the steering is directed to the same direction in the sharp steering or not. When the judgement is 'free from the corrected steering', the fin on the opposite side to the sharp steering direction among the left and right fins in pair is started, and the yaw rate (fluctuation) generated on the car body is offset. |
