PURPOSE:To provide a vacuum forming method, with which the skin of an instrument panel installed, for example, on an automobile or the skin of an door trim or the like is turned into resin sheet, on the surface of which proper embossed pattern is applied. CONSTITUTION:In the vacuum forming method concerned, in which a sucking means 6 for suckingly holding the desired position of a resin sheet stock 3 pinched with clamps 2, which are positioned at the definite position, and a driving means for extending the resin sheet stock 3 by lifting the suction part of the resin sheet stock 3 sucked with the sucking means 6 are provided so as to allow to effectively elongate the resin sheet stock in order to correspond the resin sheet stock to a vacuum mold surface 1 under the condition that the clamping mechanism 2 is held at the definite position. |
