PURPOSE:To obtain desired images by providing a head drive section capable of controlling ink discharge and an input control section capable of sending control signal for controlling the ink discharge to the head drive section with supplied recording data and information. CONSTITUTION:When a recording data 2 is inputted from a computer 1, it is determined whether or not a command of a quick dry mode i.e., of a request mode for drying a recording ink quickly is inputted simultaneously. When it is not inputted, a pulse width designating signal 8 for making a pulse width large is sent to a head drive section 6. By keeping the large pulse width, a record head 4 is driven so as to record with a larger quantity of ink discharge. When the command of quick dry mode is inputted, the pulse width designating signal 8 for making the pulse width small is sent to the head drive section 6 for preventing discharge of a large quantity of ink, and the record head 4 is driven so as to obtain a small quantity of ink discharge with a small pulse width. |
