PURPOSE: To obtain a steering method capable of attaining a yaw damping value which has no connection with a vehicle speed and desirable in all the speed range. CONSTITUTION: In a steering method having the front-wheel steering and the rear-wheel steering of a road vehicle being a wheel base 1 (m), a rear cornering stiffness ch (N/rad), a center of gravity distance 1 (m) from the front axle an a mass m (kg), a predetermined yaw damping DG is obtained from an expression I by a damping parameter KD via the steering of the rear wheel. At the same time, a yaw rate (r), a speed V and a steering wheel angleδL are measured and a steering angleδ' h is calculated from an expression II. In addition, Wh is formed as n instruction variable from a steering wheel angleδL measured by a prefilter related with the rear-wheel steering. |
