PURPOSE:To obtain novel artificial marble enhanced in gorgeousness and depth as compared with conventional artificial marble, having a high-grade feeling and a profound feeling and giving an opal like tint. CONSTITUTION:In artificial marble consisting of a transparent surface layer 1, an intermediate layer 2 composed of resin concrete and a back layer 3 made of FRP, the intermediate layer is formed as a transparent or translucent layer containing a light pervious amorphous inorg. material 2a having cracks 2a and bent and deformed flake like matter 2b having a brilliant color exposing membrane layer on the surface thereof and having fine hermetically sealed cracks 2d in the boundary part with the amorphous granular inorg material 2a. |
