PURPOSE:To provide the method which assures the life of electrodes equiv. to the life of plated steel sheets at the time of the aluminum alloys to be used for automobile body sheets, etc., to resistance spot welding. CONSTITUTION:Plural sheets of the aluminum alloy sheets, the thinnest sheet of which has 0.7 to 1.2mm thickness, are welded by maintaining the pressurizing force of the electrodes with respect to the area where the front ends of the electrodes and the sheets to be welded come into contact at 60 to 350N/mm<2> and further maintaining the current density at 400 to 3500A/mm<2>.
