<p>PURPOSE:To reduce cost by situating a tape outlet on one side in approximately the same position as a small tape cassette and situating a tape outlet on the other side in a position displaced against one side from the tape outlet on the other side of the small tape cassette. CONSTITUTION:In this recording and reproducing device, large and small tape cassettes are loaded to situate tape outlets 3 on one side respectively in the same position. In this case, the position of a tape guide 20 corresponding to the tape outlets on one side at the time of traveling the tape is fixed, and only the position of a tape guide 20' corresponding to the tape outlets on the other side at the time of traveling the tape is changed at the time of using the large tape cassette 1 and at the time of using the small tape cassette respectively. By this method, no roller guide can be provided in either case of the large or the small tape cassette in its cassette case 2.</p> |
