摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain musical tone characteristics which are close to those of a natural musical instrument by controlling characteristics of a musical tone generated by fuzzy inference based upon a string picking position and a finger ing operation position as input parameters. CONSTITUTION:A fingering operation position detecting means 33 consists of a fret switch 30, a key matrix circuit 31, and a key scan circuit 32. A string picking operation position detecting means 61 decides the levels, etc., of the output of a 1st pickup 10 on a saddle side and the output of a 2nd pickup 20 on a fret side to detect the string picking operation position. Then a microcomputer 40 receives musical performance input data from respective playing operation elements, performs the fuzzy inference by a specific program stored in a ROM 71 according to a specific fuzzy rule by using the string picking position of a string, a fret operation position, and a string number as input parameters, and performs processes required to control the characteristics of the musical tone corresponding to the inference output, thereby supplying control data to a PCM sound source 80 of one system.
